Finally I am out, up, and beatin' I meet my mom some minutes before 8:30 pm last night 11th of March, and this is how I look, my first encounter with daddy and with the phenomena of freely stretching legs.
While inside my mom’s womb, my temporary name, or my ‘working title’ was Mogly, cause my parents those days felt too excited and confused to choose a real name for me. Even a temporary one. So they announced a call for name proposals and later organized a poll where friends and visitors could vote for the names in the shortlist. That is how I got my current name - Gala.
However, I had to name somehow this diary which my parents and I started to write after they found out that I am on the way! So Mogly’s Diary it is. And it will remain such.
Anyway, the name Mogly came as the first proposal from my aunt Maca (after Mogly, the main character in the ‘Jungle Book’), who then believed that I will have my dad’s hair and my mom’s eyes. It turn out she was more than right!
In the past months, my parents have mastered finding way out from the bureaucratic labyrinths of our bizarre society....
So I share here their guide (based on their experience) for all new parents in Macedonia wondering how to begin and where to look for financial help...
